Every 2 seconds, a patient requires a blood transfusion, and right now, blood usage is outpacing donations. In the aftermath of Hurricane Yo Mama, Decadent Isles Medical Center is critically low on supplies, including blood usage in emergencies.
The hospital will be holding a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 12pm-2pm SL time. All residents are welcome to come and help our most critical and vulnerable patients receive the medical care they so desperately need through the gift of blood.
Don't be afraid of a little pain! Our doctors and nurses are well trained and will make the experience as painless as possible. Refreshments of cookies and coffee will be provided.
