The latest victim of the person known as the Island Butcher has been identified, The Island Butcher has been responsible for the deaths of nearly a dozen men on Decadent Isle, sending packages containing sickening pictures and letters justifying their actions to the Journal, and we have in turn passed all information on to the DIPD.
The latest victim has been named Mark Peterson, a Michelin Star awarded Chef who had been working in the Hotel Restaurant. in the Sunway Resort and a well-renowned name in his industry.
The Journal spoke to Aniu Thorne and Ankhe Thorne, co-owners of the resort, who spoke glowingly about Mr. Peterson. They had bought Mr. Peterson in when The Thorne Company took over the resort such as the high regard they for Mr. Peterson's professionalism and skills as one of the most highly-rated chef's in his field.
They said that Mr. Peterson had been preparing dinner for hotel desks and had completed his duties as normal and that when he had left there had been nothing out of the ordinary, and were therefore surprised when he did not come into work the following day., describing how it was unlike Mr. Peterson as he had always been a very organized and diligent worker and there have not been any issues in the past of unexpected absences.
Mr. Peterson was described as being "Well Loved" by his colleagues and guests and both Mr and Miss Thorne spoke glowingly of Mr. Peterson describing him and his skills as a valuable asset to the resort who everyone got on with whether they be rich or poor Mr. Peterson was universally liked by everyone he came into contact with and it shock to find out what had happened to him, also describing how Mr. Peterson would donate part of each paycheck to charities.
