DI Council Declares a State of Emergency

The members of the Decadent isle have proclaimed a state of emergency in the wake of the upcoming storm Yo Momma. The Hurricane classed as a category 5 is projected to hit the island in two days (November 7th) and could cause significant damage to property, utility systems and could cause serious injury and illness. In Declaration the Council writes:


"This Hurricane event, poses extraordinary conditions of disaster and of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property within the Isles, and it is anticipated that these conditions, by reason of their magnitude, are, or are likely to be, beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment, and facilities of any single county, city, and county, or city, and will require combined forces to combat, see Code§ 31-9-3;


NOW THEREFORE, We, The Council of the Decadent Isles, do hereby proclaim that a state of emergency exists in the Decadent Isles, effective at 11:00 a.m. SLT. on Thursday, November 5th 2020.


We direct the activation of the Decadent Isles Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and all appropriate annexes for purposes of the Isle's response to this Hurricane event.


As of today, Emergency Operation Center (EOC) will be set within the PD Dispatch department in the next 24 hours and operational, and the special Laws and regulations will be put in effect as of 11:59 pm SLT November 5th.


All citizens and business owners are expected to follow with the proclamation directives that will be issued in the coming 48 hours. "

Residents have already been cautioned by local services to prepare for the worse when it comes to the tropical storm and have already taken the actions to make themselves and their families safe.
