DIPD Create New Measures In the Wake of Storm

Deputy Chief Of Police Karishaye recently sent a letter to a member of the Decadent Isles council with regard to the imminent Yo Mamma Tropical Hurricane which is due to hit the island in the next day and a half.


in the letter Deputy Chief Karishaye, on behalf of the Decadent Isles Police Department made a series of recommendations to protect the lives and safety of the citizens of Decadent as well as to prevent crime, violence, looting, and damage to property in the aftermath of the storm.



These recommendations included:


- right to compel evacuations and curfew, close businesses, restrain the movements of people, quarantine people

- prohibit the citizens rights to carry weapons and ammunition; right to confiscate those found

- permission to temporary arrest and detain persons who disobey authorities or endanger public safety without warrants and other formal procedures, and right to establish temporary detainment center

- search people and premises without warrant

- limit the sale and use of alcohol

- interfere with the dissemination of news or public comment

- right to enlist and arm temporary additional police forces

- right to enlist population to public work duties in order to guarantee public safety

- right to procure supplies and equipment

- right to use necessary force to carry out all emergency measures and regular police duties



The Deputy Chief said that these measured would only be considered as a temporary measure and that the due legal processes would be used in dealing with claims for damages and losses related to these emergency measures, and that she reserved the right, should he suggest them, that any for additional measures as suggested by Chief Of Police JD.
