Yo Mamma left a path of destruction in her wake though thankfully the damage was not as bad as some meteorologists were estimating, and I like other citizens of this and the neighboring islands will be hoping for a speedy return to the way things were before.
But the question on everyone's lips is, will that include this band of military-type soldiers that have come to the island, appearing a day or so before the storm properly hit Decadent.
Currently, there are around a dozen men, wearing military type camouflage uniforms, what appear to be kevlar body protection and armor, and are armed with what appear to be semi-automatic military-grade rifles and shotguns. While normally this may possibly indicate a government deployment of troops it would appear that all of these individuals have accent indicating they are of Irish heritage or possible are Irish nationals, something which would indicate that rather than being a force there could possibly be something more sinister at play.
So far what interaction people have had with them has been brief, before the storm those posted by the Piano Bar were warning people that the beach area around the bar was off-limits and advising them to seek a place of safety.. The same message was given by the men stood at the stairs down to the helicopter pad near the docks too while those patrolling the island were simply telling people to find shelter.
However now the storm has passed it would seem these military types are here for at least the foreseeable future and yet there seems to be no word on who they are, which if any government or organization they represent, and just why they are here. Their gruff demeanors make it hard to approach them and when you do they will either tell you to leave nicely or in an intimidating tone that leaves you in no doubt they are not to be trifled with.
