Last Saturday (10th October) the body of a local woman was found at The Piano Bar located on the North Beach area of Decadent Isle. The woman was identified as Alessia, a recent arrival to the island.
Alessia was found by Piano Owner Magg Easterwood, when she came in to open the bar up for the day. She described how she arrived to work and saw someone sat at the piano, she approached but when they did not respond, she touched Alessia realizing she was cold, took her pulse only to realize she has passed and she called the Decadent Isle Police and for an ambulance as another member of staff arrived and waited with her till they arrived.
Miss Easterwood said it was a shock to find someone like that. Although she had not known Alessia well, she had seen her in the Piano a few times and described her as a very soft and special person and mentioned how The Piano had become a special place to her and seemed to have a sentimental meaning.
Ed Wan the manager of the Ole Dock B&B remembers going to the Piano looking for work and hearing the beautiful sound as Alessia played the Grand Piano and they had become friends, Ed described her as a sweet and gentle soul and was saddened to hear what had happened.
In a touching gesture, The Piano held a two-day memorial for Alessia with her picture, candles, and flowers placed in the Piano for those that knew her to pay their respects
It was confirmed by Decadent Isle Police Department that all evidence pointed to confirm the cause of death being natural causes.
